Mill Brook

Walking In Arlington and the Old Schwamb Mill are sponsoring a walking tour of the Town of Arlington’s Historic Mill Brook. The walk will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 3, 2007, led by historian Edward W. Gordon.

The walk will explore one of the Town’s most interesting and
often-overlooked resources. We will learn about the history surrounding Arlington’s most significant waterway and will end the tour with the new Jason Russell House and Smith Museum exhibit “Family Ties: 200 Years of Arlington Town Life”.

The tour will last approximately 2 hours and will be held rain or shine. The tour will be mildly strenuous and is not suitable for children under 10. Sorry, no dogs. Meeting point directions will be sent to registered participants. Group is limited to 30. In the event of severe weather or overflow of registrations, a second tour may take place on Saturday, November 10th at 9 AM.

The cost of the tour is $10 per person and reservations are required. Proceeds will go to Walking in Arlington and the Old Schwamb Mill. Make checks out to Walking In Arlington and postal mail registration by October 29th to Walking In Arlington, 107 George Street, Arlington, MA 02476. Please include your e-mail address and telephone number with your registration.
